The estate was part of the De Sèze property in the 18th century, when its vineyard on the crest of Mondot also included what is now Pavie. Members of the Mondot family acquired much of it in the 19th century. The vineyard is about 90% Merlot, and a second wine, Château Mondot, has been made since 1985.
