Romer du Hayot shares its early history with Château Romer, classified as one estate in 1855. In 1937 most of the former Romer vineyards were sold to Xavier Dauglade and Madame du Hayot. Its cellars disappeared under the motorway in the 1970s, and the wine has since been made at the du Hayot properties in Barsac.
