Pavie takes its name from the peach trees (pavies) that once grew on the site. The modern estate was assembled by Ferdinand Bouffard in the late 19th century. Ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé B in the first Saint-Émilion classification of the 1950s, it was promoted to A in 2012.
