Originally a Benedictine priory; renamed by Alexis Lichine in 1953

The estate began as a priory of Benedictine monks in Cantenac and was sold off after the French Revolution. Alexis Lichine bought it in 1951 with only 11 ha of neglected vines, renamed it in 1953 and enlarged it through land exchanges with neighbouring estates.
