Romain de Filhot assembled the estate and built the first château buildings in 1709. The Lur-Saluces family later owned it and had the château rebuilt in the 1840s, and in 1935 the Comtesse Durieu de Lacarelle, sister of the Marquis de Lur-Saluces, bought it.
