Jean Védrines acquired the land in the 18th century and developed the vineyard, and the Doisy cru is first mentioned by André Jullien in 1832. After 1855 the estate was divided into Doisy-Védrines, Doisy-Dubroca and Doisy Daëne; the Castéja family has owned Doisy-Védrines since the mid-19th century and added neighbouring Château Pernaud in 2021.
