Tignanello is made by Marchesi Antinori from a single vineyard on the Tignanello estate in Chianti Classico, between Montefiridolfi and Santa Maria a Macerata. First made in 1970, it blended Sangiovese with Cabernet and was aged in small barrels, and white grapes were dropped from the blend from the 1975 vintage.
