The Heiligenstein is a 360 metre ridge above the Kamp river at Zöbing, and its open south slope is the most important vineyard of the Kamptal. It was first recorded in 1240 as Hellenstein, and its slopes have been planted with vines since the Middle Ages. It is regarded as one of the best Riesling sites in Europe.
