Corton covers the slopes of the Corton hill, shared by Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix-Serrigny and Pernand-Vergelesses. With about 95 hectares it is the largest grand cru in Burgundy and the only red grand cru of the Côte de Beaune, though a little white is also made. Its climats include Clos du Roi, Bressandes and Renardes.
