Chapelle-Chambertin lies on the east side of the Route des Grands Crus, just north of Griotte-Chambertin. It was created as a grand cru AOC in 1937 and takes in the two climats La Chapelle and Les Gémeaux. Its wines are often among the lightest in colour of the Gevrey grands crus.
