Nyetimber was the first producer in England to plant only Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier for traditional-method sparkling wine. The estate in West Sussex appears in the Domesday Book as Nitimbreha, and the company now farms vineyards in Sussex, Kent and Hampshire. In 2025 its 2016 Blanc de Blancs became the first wine from outside Champagne to win the International Wine Challenge's Champion Sparkling Wine trophy.
